Prevent unnecessary evictions
during the pandemic
My bottom line is this: No one should be evicted before they have the chance to apply for rental assistance, and no eviction should move forward until an application has been processed.
Eligible renters and landlords can apply online at https://ceraapp.michigan.gov/ for the COVID Emergency Rental Assistance, or CERA, program to get back rent payments and help with utilities and internet bills.
The CERA program will run through September 31, 2021, and may be extended until March 31, 2022.
